On The Job By Anita Bruzzese Be Cautious About Revealing Personal Details

On the Job by Anita Bruzzese Helpful information and recommendation from America's favourite office columnist Tuesday, July 10, I think many people still view the web as an anonymous forum, even when they're recognized! It’s nearly as if some posters consider that there is curtain over the web that either hides them, or creates an alternative universe by which there are no ramifications. It’s just the web, who cares? You can’t see the individual reading it, to allow them to’t see you proper? As you say, baloney! I always say that until you are feeling snug saying it/displaying it to your boss, clients and colleagues in person, don’t submit it. Unless of course you are independently rich (or have a stable excuse in your behavior that entails some type of rehab). I agree completely! I assume everybody just wants to be Paris Hilton...famous for just being alive. But look where that received her! I'm embarassed when individuals at work reveal too much. I wish to inform them tha t I'm a coworker, not their mom. Geez, people, have a little self respect! I undoubtedly agree with that. I've been using Facebook for years to stay in touch with my faculty and examine abroad friends, and didn't really feel snug about opening up my network to business contacts. So, my solution was to easily get two Facebook accounts: one for associates and one for professional contacts. It appears to be working rather well, and keeps my two lives separate (like they need to be).
